Elementary Spring Concert showcases musical talent

Greeley County Elementary School students presented their spring concert on Tuesday, May 3 in the Greeley County High School Gymnasium for family and friends. The event was also live-streamed for those who could not attend in person.

The fifth-grade band, under the direction of Mr. Adam Schiltz, performed six selections, including Go Big Red/Bunny Hop, Land of 1000 Dances, Eat ‘Em Up, Hey Song, and the school fight song. Mr. Schiltz complimented the students’ diligent work and noted that the ability to play pep-band songs as fifth graders was a rare accomplishment.

Fifth grade students include Winston Bain, Brooklyn Clevenger, Klayton Davignon, Tristen Evans, Roslynn Ferguson, Kamden Jacobs, Yahaira Labra, Paul Marcelino, Kamri Myers, Jackson Phillips, Elianna Schneider, Scarlett Shafer, and Aiden Wright.

Following the band’s performance, the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first and second grade classes took the stage under the direction of Mrs. Portia Schiltz. They sang Happy, Kindness, and This Little Light of Mine.

Pre-Kindergarten students include Tripp Berggren, Kameron Cavenee, Tayden Cavenee, Kaylen Dautel, Kolby Davignon, Payson Gooch, Jaycelee Hamman, Scottie Louderbaugh, Gage Millirons, Axel Mora, Gracyn Schmidt, Luther Schiltz, Jonas Sherer, Max Steele, Octavia Stone, Dax VanAllen, Brayden Weaver, Bodhi Woelk, and Grady Wright.

Kindergarten students include Emry Cavenee, Briella Clevenger, Sofia Cortes, Henry Dowling, Jeff Friesen, Easton Harney, Rex Hazel, Genesis Hernandez, Kaden Howell, Kayleigh Long, Adan Rascon, Axel Santos, Jose Santos, and Justus Sherer.

First grade students are Lucero Bernabe-Ramirez, Eduar Garcia-Perez, Rylee Gooch, Ronmel Gutierrez, Rozilyn Hazel, Stryker Hobson, Axel Kleymann, Clark Kleymann, Yaxeni Labra, Ryder Leon, Maverick Louderbaugh, Beau Moritz, Maverick Moritz, Kasen Myers, Scarlet Paz-Gutierrez, Rhett Reynolds, Remi Steele, and Declan Wright.

Second grade students are Wren Berggren, Asher Cavenee, Brantley Cavenee, Dawson Cavenee, Macyn Cavenee, Kale Harkness, Wyatt Kleymann, Keurie Knobbe, Journey Langdon, Brogan O’Connor, Yasmin Ramirez, Antonio Rascon, Kyera Reed, Adylee Schneider, Grady Sebastian, Rozzalin Stum, Brantlee VanAllen.

After the pre-kindergarten through second-grade classes’ performance, the third through fifth-grade students presented a musical entitled The Granny Awards. The production was directed by Mrs. Portia Schiltz and featured a number of students in leading roles. The songs included Granny Awards, Snow White, Gonna Climb that Vine, It’s Gotta be the Corn Upon My Toe, Walkie Talkie, Big Bad Wolf, and a reprise of Granny Awards.

Third-grade students are Haidyn Brandl, Franklin Canaca-Gutierrez, Lexi Clevenger, Francis Garcia, Ellen Friesen, Myles Hahn, Lincoln Hopkins, Ava Kleymann, Adya Mangan, Kendrix Mangan, Zoe Marcelino, Ryker Moritz, Scotty Moritz, Jacelyn Phillips, Amanda Reuber, Jett Shafer, Karigen Stum, Noah Weaver and Caleb Wiggs.

Fourth-grade students include Zaid Alvarez-Villalobos, Ariya Cavenee, Ruben Coello, Deacon Gooch, Colter Guessen, Reagan Hahn, Jantzen Hamman, Brielle Harkness, Abby Helpingstine, Cyril Kleymann, Yaresli Labra, Emily Marquardt, Jordan Mora, Jose Rascon-Solares, Kasandra Sabillon-Gutierrez, Baileigh Schmidt, Caden Smith, Tenley Stewart, Lizeth Vasquez, and Jacob Wiggs.

Fifth-grade students, who are listed above, also took part in The Granny Awards.
