Carl Levi Evans
Carl Levi Evans, age 42, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune.
He was born on August 5, 1983, to Carl Albert and Synthia Lynne Evans in Tribune.
He was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter and a fair board member.
On September 9, 2006, Levi married Adriana Veleta. She survives.
Survivors include his wife, Adriana Evans, two sons, Guilherme Evans and Tristen Evans of Tribune; his mother, Synthia Preston of Garden City; two sisters, Heather Evans of Leoti and Autumn and Mark Brinkman of Olpe; his father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Maria Veleta of Tribune; brother-in-law Leo Veleta of Garden City; sister-in-law, Monica and Keith Slattery of Tribune; sister-in-law Daniela Veleta of Syracuse; eight nieces and nephews, Tori (Julio) Mancillas, Ayme Roberts, Harli Roberts, Summer Brinkman, Eric Brinkman, Beckett Brown, Brooklyn Brown, and Barrett Brown, aunts, uncles, and nine Preston cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Evans, and his Grandparents, Gene & Geri Preston.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Tribune on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nick Talbott-Dixson presiding. Once the church reaches capacity, overflow will be at the 4-H building at 905 N Ingalls, Tribune. Graveside services will follow at the Greeley County Cemetery. Services will be live streamed at evt.live/levi-evans
Public visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday April 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune.
Memorials may be given to the “Levi Evans Memorial Fund” in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, Kansas, 67861.

The Greeley County Fire Department will escort Levi’s body home on Wednesday, April 15.
The community is invited to line Round Top Road, directly south of Highway 27, by Big Dipper Ranch’s shop, beginning at 8 a.m. The procession is expected to arrive at 9 a.m.
To access Round Top Road, turn south from Highway 27 onto County Road 17. Turn immediatly west onto Round Top Road.
