Geraldine “Gerry” (Sanford) Tuttle passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023 in Warrenton, GA. She was born June 28, 1930, in Chicago, IL to Rollin and Virginia (Hubbell) Sanford. She attended Kansas State University where she met her husband, Bill. They were married on August 6, 1950, and made their home in Tribune, where she was a homemaker, taking care of their six children.
Gerry had many interests. She enjoyed needlepoint and made three kneelers for the Washington National Cathedral. Always knitting or sewing she made all the clothes for her daughters growing up and many, many, afghans. She also enjoyed hand-quilting. Her enjoyment of history and travel took her all over the country.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rollin and Virginia Sanford, her husband Bill, and her son Linden.
She is survived by her five daughters: Louise (Jim) Yates, Kathy (Mike) Nowlin, Elaine (Gerald) Penka, Susan (Jackie, deceased) Bazal, and Barbara (John, deceased) Lanier, her eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Per Gerry’s request, there will be no funeral.
