James Dale Fisher, Jr., age 78, passed away at his home in Scott City on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
He was born on September 7, 1946, in Nashville, Kansas to James Dale and Mary Ann Vierthaler Fisher.
After graduating from High School, James earned a B.A. in History from Fort Hays University. He entered the military in June of 1968 and rose to the rank of SP5. After returning home, James became a teacher and coach for several sports. He was a member of the Scott City community for the past decade.
Survivors include his children, Sarah & Josh Reasoner of Riley, Ben Fisher of Tribune, two grandchildren, his siblings, Richard Fisher of Sterling, Mary Francis & Curtis York of Healy, Mark Fisher of Ingalls, one sister-in-law, Sharon Fisher of Hutchinson and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Terry Fisher.
