Nate Lenny Ekhoff, age 78, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2022, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City. He was born in Syracuse on February 14, 1945, the son of Walter & Berniece Becker Ekhoff. A resident of Scott City since 2019, moving from Loveland, Colorado, he was a master carpenter.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
On July 11, 2002 he married Nora Taber in Loveland, Colorado. She passed away on November 10, 2009.
Survivors include his two sons: Dewayne & Danielle Ekhoff of Moore, Oklahoma, and Adam Ekhoff of Garden City; One brother: Neil & Gwen Ekhoff of Loveland, Colorado; one sister: Dawn & Daniel Davis of North Chesterfield, Virginia, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Nels Ekhoff, Niles Ekhoff, and one sister Ione Hughan.
A memorial service was held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas with pastor Jeri Farmer-Smith presiding.
Inurnment will be in the Greeley County Cemetery.
