Graicy Liv Platt

Graicy Liv Platt was born on January 13, 2026, in Aurora, Colo. On her birthday she went from her father’s arms and being held near her mother’s heart, to peacefully being welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Though her time on earth was brief, her life was welcomed with overflowing love, purpose, and joy. She is forever loved and treasured as a part of our family of six.

Graicy’s name was chosen with great intention. Graicy reflects a life held by God’s grace, and Liv represents life—eternal life promised through Jesus Christ. Her name is a reminder that God’s grace leads to everlasting life, and that even the smallest lives can carry the greatest meaning.

During her time with us, Graicy experienced a beautiful journey with her family. She was with them while traveling to many special places and was present for family traditions, celebrations, and everyday moments filled with love. She knew only love—the comfort of her father’s voice and touch in the womb; the excitement of her siblings as they felt her kick, read books to her, sang to her, and drew pictures for her; and the steady rhythm of her mother’s heartbeat during their special moments together.

Graicy is deeply loved and missed by her parents, Joshua and Amanda Platt, and her older siblings Haiven, Jaidah, and Taibor, of Tribune.

She is also cherished by her maternal grandparents Brad and Robin Kempke of Johnson; great-grandmother Janice Kempke of Claflin; aunts Angela (Dustin) Daniels of Claflin; Katrina (Chris) Privett of Bushton; Alex (Thomas) Vance of La Junta, Colo; uncles James (Laynee) Kempke of Great Bend; Casey (Larissa) Polzin of Manter; and cousins Shaylah, Landon, Rylee, Anessa, Miah, Taylor, Bailee, Noah, Elias, Jaxtyn, Autumn, Quincee, Sophia, and Xavier.

She is loved by her paternal grandparents John and Rebekah Platt of Syracuse; great-grandparents Gloria and Robert Pruitt of Tucson, Ariz.; and great-grandmother Eva Birt of Syracuse; aunt Rachel (Bryan) Higerd of Colby; uncle Caleb Platt of Frankfort, Kent., and cousins Daisy and Zelda; as well as many family and friends from both extended families.

Graicy was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Barbara Hammersmith; great- grandparents Eugene and Thecla Hammersmith; and great-grandfather Fredrick (Dean) Kempke as well as by her paternal great-grandfathers Danny Birt and Delwyn Platt.

Though her family knows she is safe in the arms of Jesus, they long to hold her every day. Graicy has already touched the lives of many people and God will use her story for His glory.

Her family rejoices through tears, confident that she is living fully in heaven!

A private celebration of life and burial were held Monday, January 19, in Claflin.
