GMD1 Wichita WCA & LEMA Outreach Meeting
**Please join the GMD1 Staff and Board of Directors for an Outreach Meeting on August 28th at the Wichita County Fair Grounds in Leoti, Kansas.**
-Agenda includes the status/results of the Wichita County WCA & LEMA
-Reports indicating stabilizing water levels in the Wichita County region (Kansas Geological Survey)
-Proposed renewal of the Wichita County LEMA beginning in 2026
Proposed changes to the LEMA include but are not limited to:
-Increased annual flexibilities
-Combined well units & carryover of un-used allocations
-Allowing MYFA’s and Appeals to be processed throughout the LEMA period
-Proposed LEMA renewal period of greater than 5 years
When: August 28th at 10:30am (Central Time)
BBQ lunch will be provided following the meeting
Where: Wichita County Fair Grounds in Leoti, KS
