A RESOLUTION FIXING A TIME AND PLACE AND PROVIDING NOTICE OF A HEARING BEFORE THE GOVERNING BODY OF UNIFIED GREELEY COUNTY, KANSAS, AT WHICH THE OWNER AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS MAY APPEAR AT THE HEARING AND BE HEARD ON THE PROPOSED DE-ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, the Unified County Clerk of Unified Greeley County, Kansas, did on the 2nd day of May, 2024, receive a petition for de-annexation of certain real property from the owners thereof, Alan Waggoner and Carol Waggoner; and
WHEREAS, said real property is described as follows:
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Twenty-one (21), Township Eighteen (18) South, Range Forty (40) West of the Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, Greeley County, Kansas, described as follows by James Meis, PS 1533, on September 27, 2022:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section 21, Township 18 South, Range 40 West; Thence South 01 degrees 31 minutes 25 seconds West, along the East line of the Southwest Quarter, a distance of 439.40 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point also being the Southeast corner of the tract described in Book 164, Page 488; Thence continuing South 01 degrees 31 minutes 25 seconds West, along the East line of the Southwest Quarter, a distance of 194.03 feet; Thence North 87 degrees 46 minutes 56 seconds West, parallel with the South line of the tract described in Book 164, Page 488, a distance of 616.24 feet to the East line of the tract described by Ordinance No. 600 filed in Book 19M, Page 167; Thence North 21 degrees 41 minutes 04 seconds West, along the East line of the tract described by Ordinance No. 600, a distance of 15.28 feet; Thence North 01 degrees 50 minutes 00 seconds East, along the East line of the tract described by Ordinance No. 600, a distance of 180.04 feet to the Southwest corner of the tract described in Book 164, Page 488; Thence South 87 degrees 46 minutes 56 seconds East, along the South line of the tract described in Book 164, Page 488, a distance of 621.31 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said tract contains 2.768 acres, more or less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UNIFIED GREELEY COUNTY, KANSAS:
That a hearing will be held on the 10th day of June, 2024, before the Board of Supervisors at 10:00 o’clock a.m. MST at the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Unified Greeley County Courthouse, 616 Second Street, Tribune, Kansas, at which the owner and any other interested persons may appear and be heard regarding the petition for de-annexation for the above described real property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Unified County Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be published in the official newspaper of Unified Greeley County and shall give notice of the aforesaid hearing in the manner provided by law.
